After a couple years of engineering school, I decided I could learn a lot more by getting a bit farther from home. I signed up to do a year of exchange in Germany and became quickly and permantently addicted to the excitement of immersing myself in a new culture and tripping through conversations in a foreign language. This is one of my proudest accomplisments - I've been able to hold meaningful (though simple) conversations in Lithuanian, Russian, German, French and Korean.
